How to book rail segments
Contact your travel agent or local Biman office to book your rail segments (9B) / ticket (FRA-QYG-FRA) at the time of e-ticket issuance of your flights to/from Frankfurt under same PNR.
Ticket costs
1st class on rail service per adult : EUR-93 (OW) ,EUR-186 (RT) RBD on 9B-F
2nd class on rail service per adult : EUR-48 (OW) ,EUR-96 (RT) RBD on 9B-Y
Child up to 5 years : No charge/No rail ticket
Child 6 to 11 years : No charge but rail ticket is required
Airline Ticketing
We have concluded an IET agreement with 9B (Deutsche Bahn -DB). It is an unilateral ticketing agreement i.e. we will only issue tickets on 9B services & they (9B) will never issue tickets on BG services. After completion of booking with all SSR:CHLD & SSR:INFT (if needed), e-ticket to be issued for entire journey as usual with auto pricing. The ticketing gross fares for the markets DAC-QYG, DAC-QYG-DAC, QYG-DAC & QYG-DAC-QYG are established and uploaded/distributed in system/GDSs for sale. The rail segments only to be booked in the PNR at the time of e-ticket issuance for flights to/from Frankfurt.
Rail Ticketing
9B will generate a 9 digit rail ticket pick up number in the PNR under SSR:MAAS for each passenger who require a seat in the flight. The rail ticket against 9B flight coupons may be printed/checked in as under :
a) Through a vending machine at any German Railway station within 72 hours prior flight departure, or
b) Through WEB check-in at WWW.ACCESRAIL.COM/CHECKIN within 72 hours prior flight departure.
The steps of check-in through internet are appended in the attachment. Rail ticket is not required for passengers up to 5 years, hence should not print any rail ticket or checked in through internet for those category of passengers. Other child passengers 6 to 11 years of age , need rail ticket print out or checked-in through internet but transportation will be free. Once the rail ticket is printed or checked-in through internet, the ticket status become non- refundable, non-transferable. The rail ticket is valid on the day prior to the outward flight ex-Germany, the day of that flight, the day on which return flight is to be completed & the following day. Return leg of rail ticket is valid for a period of 12 months but only can be used in connection with Biman,s flight to/from Frankfurt.
Application of Rail Ticket
DB rail tickets are valid between “Railway Germany” (QYG) and any German Airport on all regular services of Deutsche Bahn (DB) network except ICE-Sprinter, CityNightLine(CNL), Thalys, Motorail (AutoZug) trains/services. The DB regular services must be in consistence to the itinerary and routed directly to the respective German Airport of arrival/departure. Journey involving regional transport associations are not permitted.
Through check-in & Train connection
No through check-in is allowed with combination of rail segments. Passengers have to complete immigration/customs formalities at the Airport only. Passengers need to select their train connection from German Railway (QYG) to Airport in a manner that can reach at Airport at least two hours prior departure. The train connection may be viewed/verified at WWW.BAHN.DE .
Other information
In most cases, plenty of seats available on DB network trains. However, seats may not be guaranteed at all times due to peak/weekend etc.
